Shipping Methods

Our orders are sent out using Royal Mail, second class, or first class tracked (sometimes we will use Couriers for delivery within the UK).

Important note regarding your delivery options:

You do have the option to select different delivery services at the checkout.

  • You can select Royal Mail (standard delivery, 2nd class) option at checkout (delivery usually 2-3 days from dispatch), or

  • You can select the Royal Mail first class tracked option at the checkout. (usually 1-2 days from dispatch date).

    Depending on your purchase, shipping times will vary (and please be aware at busy times, such as the lead up to Christmas, often delivery timescales are impacted - we cannot guarantee delivery timescales, we can only refer to the delivery services that we use for posting and their suggested timescales for delivery to you).  

For all items that are held in stock at The Pink Pheasant, without any personalisation requested, we will usually dispatch these within 1-3 days after placing the order (this does not include made to order lampshades).  

All of our bespoke and made to order items, such as our lampshades, have a longer lead time.  Therefore, after placing your order please allow approx 2 weeks for your order to be dispatched.  Many of our lamps and lampshades are sent via a courier and you will be provided with tracking information if a courier has been used for your parcel.

Our delivery charges are generally based on UK delivery addresses, using Royal Mail or sending parcels via Courier and will all vary depending on size and weight of parcel. If you are looking to purchase an order for dispatch to a destination outside of the UK, please initially contact us to check that we are able to send to your destination and to confirm the costs (including any liability you may have on additional local taxes/fees for receiving goods sent from the UK ). We are happy to provide a delivery charge estimate for you before you place your order and we also suggest that you confirm, locally, if you are likely to incur additional local charges on receipt of your goods.   You can email louisa@thepinkpheasant.co.uk to request an estimated delivery charge for dispatch to destinations outside the UK.

Delayed receipt of your order after dispatch:

If, after 14 days from notification of dispatch of your parcel, your item(s) have not been received, please email louisa@thepinkpheasant to advise us.

 

Returns & Exchanges

We hope you will be really pleased with your purchase from The Pink Pheasant.

Exchanges for alternative colour/style options (this is not applicable to any of the made to order lampshades): If you wish to exchange an item (that is not a made to order/personalised item, for which we cannot accept exchanges) for an alternative colour or style, please email us (louisa@thepinkpheasant.co.uk) to let us know that you wish to do this and so that we can also check and confirm that we have your alternative colour/style in stock. Please ensure that your item you wish to exchange has not been used and can be returned in its original packaging, where possible. Please inform us that you would like to exchange within 7 days of receiving your item. Please then return your item (we do not offer a free returns service) for exchange to the address below. Please always obtain your proof of posting (and suitable cover if needed for the value of your item), as the return is your responsibility and if it should go missing or be damaged in transit on its return it is your responsibility. Please send it back in suitable packaging (ideally the same that it was sent to you in). For fragile items (such as glass vases) please ensure that the items is very well protected with the packaging and your packaging is clearly marked as Fragile. If the returned item arrives damaged we will not be able to provide you with a refund or exchange. We will confirm when we have received your returned item.

Important note about cost of return postage:

For direct exchanges or returns, that are not faulty, you will need to pay the postage for the return of your item. If you have requested an exchange item to be sent to you, there will be a postage charge to you for us to send out your exchanged item if you have requested one. We will contact you to let you know how to pay this.

If you wish to return your item for a refund only, please notify us within 7 days and send your unused item back, in its original item packaging and very securely wrapped/packed outer packaging. We recommend that you always obtain your proof of posting (and any suitable cover, if needed, for the value of your item you are returning). As the return item is your responsibility, if it should go missing or be damaged in transit on its return we will not be able to refund you. For fragile items (such as glass vases) please ensure that the items are very well protected with the packaging, and outer packaging clearly marked fragile. If the returned item arrives damaged we will not be able to provide you with a refund or exchange. We will confirm when we have received your returned item and we will process your refund on its safe arrival with us.

Unfortunately we are not able to offer a free returns service for exchanges or returns for refunds, unless the item is faulty on arrival. For exchanged items to be sent to you, the delivery charges will vary depending on the item being exchanged (usually between £2 - £8.00, depending on weight and size of parcel being sent, larger parcels, such as for our lampshades and glass lamps, the return postage and packaging will be higher than this (£10+, typically, for our larger glass lamp bases it will be approximately £12-14 shipping, per parcel) for mainland UK. Please note that the charge for postage & packaging outside mainland UK will be higher and we will confirm this to you before you return your item and an exchange is sent to you). As soon as your item is returned and received here, and the delivery charge paid (we will confirm cost and how to pay when you contact us), your exchanged item will be sent out the next day.

Made to Order / Personalised Gifts:

All of our handmade lampshades and personalised jewellery are all made to order items and therefore we regret that orders are non-returnable unless they are faulty or damaged.

Before ordering your made to order item please check that you have ordered the correct size and fabric choices (if applicable) as these cannot be changed once made. If you wish to request a fabric sample ahead of placing your lampshade order please contact us (please note that depending on quantity or type of fabric samples requested there may be a small charge).

Should your item arrive faulty or damaged, please notify us by email on receipt of your item to louisa@thepinkpheasant.co.uk (and within 7 days of delivery to arrange the return). Items must be returned within 14 days of delivery in their original packaging.

Please obtain proof of your posting. For the return of a faulty item, we will ensure the return postage is either provided to you with a pre paid Royal Mail label (sent via email for you to print and attach to the parcel) and this label must be used within one week of issue, or alternatively, if you prefer, you can pay for the return postage (via Royal Mail) and we will refund you the equivalent cost of sending it back using 2nd class Royal Mail service (this cost will be based on the same size parcel as we originally issued to you - for example, a lampshade would be a medium parcel, under 2kg weight, 2nd Class Royal Mail).

If your item appears to have been damaged in transit, please notify us as soon as you have received the item, along with photographs of the item still in its packaging, clearly showing the damage, as we may require these photos for taking up the situation with our delivery services. We will then request for the damaged item to be returned to us. In such circumstances, once the item is received back by us we will provide an exchange, if this is possible, or refund to cover the cost of the return postage, if the item was faulty or damaged, as well as your original purchase amount for the item.
